Of course I support it! However I have issues with how I am seeing this work out in reality.

In the early days, I’ve seen folks negotiate a 4-day week with their employers under harsh circumstances and they ended up being reprimanded or punished in some way, so employers are not always nice about it – and this needs to continue to change…

The ChatGPT prompting was really fascinating. The CSRD was also an eye opener, although the subject matter on the face of it is very dry so.. only for the brave 😅 Kind of not happy with how few options there are out there for this, and the divergence between various global standards.

Agreed, very well put! Seems like with any off-the-shelf kit there will be more of ‘adapting to the tool’ as opposed to the other way around.

We are building an internal ‘analytics platform’ and it’s a bit of a nightmare with delays due to staff being cycled on the project a lot, but we might finally be rolling out a bespoke invoicing feature…

Depends on the organisation you work for, if you’re part of a smaller finance team that is a support function to the business, the events are mostly for the benefit of the other staff, but it is still important to get away from the desk every now and then!
