One for the smaller enterprise and treasury members! I’m looking for investment c. £100k to grow our community events and content. (Now I’ve recovered from Liz Truss almost killing us off!)

I’ve been approached by VC, Funding Circle, Swoop, but as a startup the terms don’t work for me.

What would you suggest doing? Looking at?

Thanks in advance for your support. ????????????

    Hi Chris,
Well done in turning down the approach for having the wrong terms, it’s critical to remtain control. Difficult to offer any detailed advice as I don’t know what you’re trying to achieve, how well you’re prepared, the attractiveness of your business plan to investors or the impact of your investment deck but if you want to chat about it … please let me know.
One possibility out of left field might be to think about crowd funding. With 70,000 members in GenCFO and your contacts in ACCA, is there something there worth thinking about perhaps
    cheers
    Martin

I love that idea Martin! After all, there are a lot of budget holders in my network. ????

@kirakhbach I agree 100% – this is a no sales zone. Our community is nothing without supportive individuals speaking plainly without sales messages.

Kira, please remove this profile from the community and review all profile for sales people!

@tanbir-jasimuddin thanks for flagging, we vet all members but we had a lot of sign ups post Summit. This one slipped through the net.

This kind of sales material really annoys me…

    1. It’s in the wrong place

    2. The style assumes that finance folks are idiots. Tells me nothing about how the product works

    3. Mentions AI to tick the buzzword box

    4. Badly written
